Highland, IN- The Panthers have a corner infielder and an outfielder on the 2023 All-Northern League team. Both all-stars that stood out in that all-star game, each belting a homer. Their individual seasons just got even better after adding this to their respected resumes.

Kevin Bushnell (Benedictine) joined Miracle slugger Bryce Lesher as the two corner infielders to receive this honor. Bushnell was an MVP candidate, but that award was given to Dawson Willis of the Elkhart County Miracle.

Nonetheless, it was nothing short of a special season for Kevin Bushnell. Bushnell finished his season hitting .381 with a .481 OBP and a .639 slugging. All leading his team. Bushnell also led the team in RBIs by a wide margin with 28 which is sixth in the Northern League as well as home runs with four which was tied for second.

Bushnell led the team of extra base hits with 11 doubles and a triple and was tied for first with nine stolen bases.

George Bilecki (Lewis University) came to the Panthers after a short stint with the Oilmen and is now one of the main reasons the Indiana Panthers have made the playoffs for the first time in two years. Bilecki proved to be one of the best all around players in the whole Northern League as he joined Owen Winters (LC), Nic Altobelli (GRIF), and Kevin Denty (NWI) as the outfielders to get in.

In 25 games, Bilecki was a consistent presence in the middle of the Panthers’ lineup from the start of his Panthers career to the end. Bilecki slashed .302/.396/.427 while playing an elite center field. Bilecki experienced a major power surge with the Panthers as he hit two homers and had six doubles. He was also second on the team in RBIs with 16 as well as stolen bases with eight.
